Priyanka replaces Hrithik

Yes, you read that right. Priyanka Chopra's role of the spouse murderer seven times over in Vishal Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf was originally to be played by, believe  it or not, Hrithik Roshan. However, when things didn't work out between Roshan and Bhardwaj, who had rewritten Ruskin Bond's original story, Susanna's Seven Husbands, specifically to accommodate a male character as lead, went back to the original story and decided to cast his favourite actress, Chopra, as lead.

Chopra, who will share screen space with Roshan in Karan Johar's remake of Agneepath, must be happy that "things didn't work out between Vishal and Hrithik".

Says the source, "The two just didn't agree on the plot and characters. They parted ways with a 'maybe another time'. Bhardwaj then quickly turned the screenplay back to its original format the way Ruskin Bond had written it and signed Priyanka. He prefers to work with female protagonists since the male stars have repeatedly given him grief. Sadly, the box office doesn't welcome women-oriented sagas."

That might change this month if Rajkumar Gupta's No One Killed Jessica (where Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan are the 'heroes') and Saat Khoon Maaf (where Chopra weds, beds and kills seven husbands) are the hits they are expected to be.

Hrithik and Ranbir Walk The Ramp for Shabana Azmi

Bollywood actress and activist Shabana Azmi has taken up a new cause. And this time, she is not alone in the noble act. A plethora of stars from the tinsel town have joined her. The list is pretty long, of about 20 stars, including Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Shilpa Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Prateik Babbar, Ranveer Singh, Tusshar Kapoor, Celina Jaitley, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza, Shazahn Padamsee, Raima Sen, Amrita Rao, Rohit Roy, Sandhya Mridul, Monikangana Dutta and Aditya Roy Kapur, who would be walking the ramp for an NGO that supports girl education.

The stars would be campaigning for the education of girls at the Mijwan village in the Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Mijwan is the birthplace of her father and one of the greatest Urdu poets, the late Kaifi Azmi.

The stars would be seen walking the ramp on January 23, and would wear attires styled by Manish Malhotra. The cause will also support women empowerment.

Shabana said that the stars did not throw any starry tantrums when she approached them. She said, "Just Rs 6,000 can pay for a child's annual education in Mijwain.

All the stars I approached have come on board, no questions asked. They are role models and when they throw their weight behind a cause it leads to immense awareness on the issue. This is going to be the most phenomenal fashion show ever."

Hrithik Roshan Doesn't Care For Hit Or Flop

Guzaarish was flop at box office but Hrithik Roshan was appreciated for his acting in the film. Today Hrithik's career has reached to a stage where is doesn't bother was for hit or flop. He says, "I will say this in different way. In life you should travel to new and new things & you learnt a lot. Where no one has gone, i have gone there. Today i stand at a stage where i want to work work as per my wish & how best i can do. If you look at my career graph its like roller coaster. I jump from one end to another end. After Guzaarish now i will do a different commercial film."

I am doing Agnipath with Karan Johar is one step towards that. I am doing Krish 3. Why he says Krish 3 instead of Krish 2? He says Krish 1 was second part of Koi mil gaya 2 so we call as Krish 3. They way Rambo was First Blood and than it was Rambo 3. He is playing role of Amitabh Bachchan of original Agnipath. When asked do you think that its a challenge to act in Agnipath 2? He says, "you can call it as my bad luck or good luck that the script of the film impressed me a lot. My heart reacted to the script so i was left with no option but to accept the film. I am very clear that my intention is not to challenge Big B. The script is rewritten to suit a young character. Krish 3 is going to start in July or August 2011 & is accepted to be completed in one year & we are planning to release this in 2012."

Guzaarish was his third film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The moment we said Aishwarya he says, "We had good chemistry. As a co-actor we are good friends. Both of us are professional & our approach towards film is same. We understand each other better. If i have any problem she understands and even i understand her. We acted together in three films with different banner it was our luck."

Talking of Guzaarish, Hrithik says it was not a commercial film. There film was produced for a particular class of audience. You require courage to produce this type of film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is very coverages person. To show six pack or item song is easy but he never did like that. He was clear in his vision. We should not care for box office all the time.

SRK ready return Hrithik Roshan’s favor

Shah Rukh Khan seems to be in the mood of doing some real good actions in the coming year. Also since there are no words of him getting back friendly with either Farah Khan or Salman Khan, the King Khan might feel it’s better to cement the new established bond of friendship that he and Hrithik is sharing at the moment. Even if it means doing a negative role in Roshan family’s next venture a sequel of ‘Krrish’.
Already Hrithik has done his bit as a friend in SRK’s upcoming film ‘Don 2’. Hrithik has joined SRK and the rest of the ‘Don 2’ cast for a special appearance, so it won’t be surprising if now SRK return the favor. Though the papa Roshan is not ready to confirm the news, but the buzz is that King Khan will play a negative role in the film.

But being a good businessman SRK agreed to do the film only if his film ‘Ra.One’ is allowed to be released before Hrithik’s superhero flick. The director of ‘Krrish’ Rakesh Roshan has said that he has not yet started the casting for the film hence won’t comment on SRK being part of the project. However, the wives of these two superstars of Bollywood bonds too well and have taken the step of becoming business partners and would love to see their respective spouses bond too.
Well we all have to wait till the casting is complete and we wish after ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ these two actors share the same screen space once again.

Hrithik says no to Kabir Khan

Kabir Khan is heartbroken. For his next venture, a romantic film for Yash Raj Films, he wanted to work with Hrithik Roshan but after a series of meetings and narrations, Hrithik has given the thumbs down to Kabir. The director said, “I am disappointed and will now have to look for an alternative actor for the film.” Our source from the industry says, “This is Kabir’s third film for YRF after Kabul Express and New York. It is also his first romantic film. However, it is an expensive film and Kabir wanted to cast a big star. At first it was supposed to be SRK with whom things didn’t work out. Kabir believed that only Hrithik would fit in the bill. But Hrithik has expressed his unavailability for the film as he has two films — Agneepath and the sequel to Krrish — that he is working on.” Kabir’s search begins all over again.

Can Hrithik Roshan be the peacemaker this time at Dubai?

Few of the Bollywood biggies have flown off the Dubai to usher in the New Year and party on the 31st of Dec’ night. While Shah Rukh Khan will be celebrating with his family and friends, Salman too is in the costly area with his family.

Shah Rukh owns a home in the man made island and people joining him will be his best buddy Karan Johar. Also celebrating the New Year with SRK will be Hrithik Roshan and his wife Suzanne Roshan, the couple with whom the Khans have rekindled their friendship recently, putting all the alleged Hrithik – Shah Rukh rivalry in the past.
Since both Salman and Shah Rukh will be in the Emirates and Hrithik too, who’ve resumed his bonding with Sallu after the alleged spat, will he be able to bring these two warring Khans back toghether? Already Shah Rukh has extened the olive branch towards Salman and Farahby stating that he is to be blamed for the spat he had with these two Khans.
So will Salman reciprocate the same feeling for the year 2011 and bury the hatchet with SRK and move on into a New Year. It would be a good news for their fans and if Hrithik can do it he will be loved by not only his fansand industry people but fans of these two Khans too.

Hrithik Roshan: Is he the next Mr. Perfectionist after Aamir Khan?

Actor Aamir Khan is widely known as the Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood for his method acting, his obsession with getting things perfect and his inimitable mastery over his field. While there is no denying his craft, there is another lad who seems to be slipping into his shoes.

B-town’s Greek God aka Hrithik Roshan is fast turning out to be a near-perfect actor. In his last few outings, he has been phenomenal with his acting, with his attires, with his gestures and body language and even with his dialogues.
Take for instance, the recently released ‘Guzaarish’ for which he took up smoking just to get into his character. He grew long manes and beard and sat on that wheel-chair looking exactly like a quadriplegic patient.
Even for his film ‘Kites’  he had worked hard on his physical aspects and body. It’s is unfortunate though that both these films tanked at the box office. Going back a few years to the days of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, he came up with another solid realistic performance under the shrewd eye of director Ashutosh Gowariker.
He was sublime and extremely flamboyant in his con role of ‘Dhoom 2’ and prepared himself craftily for playing the superhero in ‘Krrish’ (for which he even dabbled into martial arts). The actor has now attained a special place amongst the A-list actors and is often amidst news for his plethoric talent and method acting. As good as Mr. Perfectionist, no doubt!
