SRK Made Hrithik Miss His Flight

It’s no big deal that SRK and Hrithik are good buddies in Bollywood but they are bonding big time which is the important part. Both of them are spending quality time with each other by partying hard.

At a recently concluded Awards event in Singapore, SRK called his buddy Hrithik and asked him to party with him. Incidentally Hrithik was on his way to airport to leave for India but that didn’t happen.

“Hrithik wanted to leave for India and his flight was booked. However SRK called him and told him that it was on January 14 that he made his debut in Bollywood. Since he had completed 11 years in Bollywood, it was time to party. SRK told him that he too was leaving the next day and asked him to come along with him in a chartered flight. So, SRK, Hrithik, along with Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal and Mehr, and Priyanka Chopra partied hard with Hrithik in his room, “explains our source.

While Hrithik’s debut KAHO NAA PYAR HAI went on to become biggest hit of the year, Shahrukh’s first home production PHIR BHI DIL HAI HINDUSTANI, which was released one week after KNPH, bombed at the box office.

Next day Hrithik left with SRK along with Suzanne and Karan for India.

'Blast' to get fit

The quest to get those perfectly sculpted muscles always sees some new addition or the other. The latest one that’s finding a lot of takers — right from A-listers like Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapur and even Colleen Rooney — is Gravity Blast. This is a 30-minute, highly intense workout which is based on resistance to increase strength and firm up muscles.

The Gravity Blast workout is often done on a specialised training kit called the Gravity Training System or GTS. Elaborating on these workouts, Daniel D’Souza, a fitness trainer, says, “This exercise regime is only for those who have been working out for a while, not for beginners. It is a weight-based resistance training system where one banks on their resistance power to build muscles. So instead of pulling weights you are resisting their force.” He adds, “Of course, this also has a lot to do with one’s will power too.” The equipment can also be adjusted to suit one’s needs. “One must begin on a low incline and less resistance and build this up gradually. Those who are seriously looking to work on their muscles even work on an incline of 60 per cent sometimes,” says Namrata Rao, a fitness coach.
One of the biggest advantages of this workout is that it helps to strengthen all the muscles in the body. “When you compare it to the regular weights that one does, these are more effective because they work out some ignored muscle groups too. Since it is for a span of 30 minutes, the attention to various muscles is also distributed equally to ensure that there is an all-round effect. One can do up to 175 different exercises using the GTS,” explains Namrata. The downside is something that’s common with various other exercises — boredom. “There is not much room for innovation here and that’s why I often get my clients to combine a Gravity Blast workout with some other form of physical activity like swimming or tennis,” adds Daniel.
