Hrithik Roshan @ 56th Filmfare Awards

Hrithik Roshan disappointed by Filmfare Awards snub

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is so confident about his performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s GUZAARISH, that he just wouldn’t take any kind of defeat related to it. He thinks that GUZAARISH is his finest act till date, and he is even ready to give up on his gentleman stand for it.
Recently, at the Filmfare Awards function, when Hrithik came to know that he won’t win the award for the ‘Best Actor’, he just stormed off the venue. The whole Roshan parivaar walked off from the function as they realized that the awards will be presented to Rishi Kapoor for DO DOONI CHAAR and Shahrukh Khan for MY NAME IS KHAN. Hrithik was disappointed that he didn’t win the award in either category, critics or popular.

Though Hrithik stayed mum about the issue, Suzanne tweeted, “Just came back from Filmfare. Sometimes in life we get what we don’t deserve.. makes it diff (difficult) to understand what’s the logic in all this.”

Well, we too think that Hrithik deserved the award, but Hrithik could've taken the whole saga sportingly!

Sussanne steals hubby’s thunder

She peps up the show with her feisty spirit and frank responses. It’s wonderful to see the otherwise demure Sussanne Roshan not just hold her own but overshadow her star husband Hrithik Roshan on Karan Johar’s show. The first 10 minutes almost put you to sleep as Karan grilled Hrithik on the reason behind Guzarish’s failure. Had he asked him directly, maybe it wouldn’t have been as agonizing but Karan being Karan had to go about in a round about manner and talk about good cinema versus commercial cinema and Hrithik had to talk about how much love he received for his performance, so the failure didn’t matter. But this kind of sychophancy only happens with the big stars. A small time actor, would not make it to KJo’s show nor would the filmi fraternity be as kind to him. Hrithik himself looked like he was about to fall asleep till his charming wife entered the picture and pepped up the show. Full brownie points to her cos’ her humour ensured that Hrithik woke up from his slumber and made some effort to sound interesting. Of course, his wife very sweetly put him in his place by admitting that he had women hitting on him all the time and if she had turned into Hrithik Roshan for a day, she would have had a blast having a scene with all the gorgeous women. Wow, that was a really honest confession which stumped Hrithik and made him sound foolish with his politically correct responses.
Sussanne steals hubby’s thunder
But you can’t expect too much honesty in this chat show as everything is glossed over and it’s a happy world. So, while Kareena and Barbara are brought up in the rapid fire round, there is no reference to Hrithik’s alleged affairs with the ladies that almost broke up his marriage. On Koffee with Karan, everything is hunky dory, though Sussanne did admit that while she loves Kareena, she would go back to sleep if she was transformed into her one morning. And yes, she gave her hubby ‘the’ look when he mentioned that Barbara was his hottest co-star. And Hrithik looked taken aback when Sussanne admitted that she would plant a kiss on SRK’s lips if she had turned into Gauri Khan. But on seeing her hubby’s flustered look she quickly added that she would only be able to do that as Gauri Khan. Smart girl we say.
Yes, the couple admitted to fighting over ‘silly’ things and that Sussanne broke into ‘laughter’ during a fight, which even the diplomatic Karan found ‘very strange’. But we are not surprised, after all this couple has always been good at projecting the right image outside their home and are certainly not going to wash their dirty linen in public.

Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra: Setting the bed on fire

After Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan, actor Hrithik Roshan recently became the next star from Bollywood to get his own wax statue in the famous Madame Tussaud’s museum in London.

And while wife Suzzane Khan showered kisses on her hubby’s waxy model, the actor is heating up the bed with the hottie Priyanka Chopra. Hrithik is currently filming for Karan Johar’s remake of ‘Agneepath’ in which he gets into the skin of the popular Vijay Deenanath Chauhan that was so adeptly played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original.

And actress Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing Hrithik’s love interest. In the original ‘Agneepath’ it was actress Madhavi who played a nurse and romanced Amitabh Bachchan. In the remake Priyanka won’t be the nurse since Karan Johar felt that would be a total waste of her sexuality. There is a buzz that she may play a sex worker but Karan denies that report.

But he does confirm that the chemistry between Hrithik and Priyanka is red hot and they have some intimate scenes that Karan has labelled as ‘adult’ ones. Though, we have seen Hrithik and Piggy Chops romancing on-screen in ‘Krrish’, there was no physical intimacy in that superhero film since it was catering to the younger audience (children).

But in ‘Agneepath’, Karan is trying hard to put forth a fiery and intensely passionate love moments between the actors. We would have to wait a bit to see if Hrithik-Priyanka chemistry is as good as Hrithik-Aishwarya……..

Hrithik-Katrina's Bollywood longest Lip-lock

Bollywood’s sexy actress Katrina Kaif is set to make debut on-screen kiss with Hrithik Roshan in Zoya Akthar’s film.

Director Zoya Akthar has shot a lip-locking scene on the duo, which lasts for two-minutes in her upcoming flick Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara. It is believed to be the longest lip-lock on-screen so far in the B-town. Zoya Akthar said that the scene of kissing has been filmed awesomely and it demands for the sequence. It is her second directorial after Luck By Chance, also stars her brother Faran Akthar in the movie. But the director is not ready to reveal the details of the movie.

Sources close to sets says that Kat showed no interest and was hesitant for the shot, but somehow Zoya managed her and after the shot Kat felt comfortable.

The story of the kissing goes like this “When Hrithik bids an adieu to the Kat looking in her eyes without any words, then Kat realizes how much she loves and runs off and shows her affection in form of kiss. The scene continues for two- long minutes.

It is the first longest Lip-lock after Raja Hindustani, which was shot on Aamir khan and Karishma Kapoor.

So, let’s watch it on the Silver Screen and hope the upcoming trends in B-Town shatters the records of this.

Hrithik Roshan donates for treatment of CHD children

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan today made a donation for the treatment of 10 children suffering from congenital heart defect (CHD) . The actor, who launched Seven Hills Hospital's 'Save a Heart' programme for children with CHD in the western suburb of Andheri, said he was overwhelmed, proud and happy to be part of the initiative.

''I pledge my support in whatever form that may be required. We must remember we are saving a child and securing our future,'' Roshan said.
The actor also danced and interacted with child patients to the delight of the audience.
A congenital heart disorder is a defect in the structure of the heart and great vessels which is present at birth. In India, there are an estimated 180,000 children born with CHD every year, with 60,000 - 90,000 suffering from critical CHD requiring early treatment. 10 percent of the country's infant mortality can be accounted by CHD alone.

Hrithik Roshan outside Madame Tussauds

Hrithik: 'HIGH SPIRITS owing to Manish's talent, Shabana, GREAT cause!'

Hrithik requests for distance

Hrithik Roshan may have joined the Madame Tussaud’s league of Bollywood A-listers, but the superstar still doesn’t see himself as part of the big league. Or so it seems.

Hrithik has apparently made a rather unusual request to the museum authorities. “I am elated with the honour of being the latest addition to the museum. But I have asked the authorities to place my statue away from those of the other Bollywood stars. They are unmatchable and great stars in their own right. I’ve requested that my statue be placed in some other section of the museum.” Now, given the strange nature of his request, it’s hard to tell whether it’s humility or rivalry that prompted his gesture.

Sussanne opens up on Hrithik's link-ups

The usually reticent and shy Sussanne Roshan opened up on her hubby Hrithik Roshan his link-ups and their relationship on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan.

She spoke about Hrithik's co-stars Kareena Kapoor and Barbara Mori (both of who were reported to have shared a 'special' relationship with the actor) and even told Karan that she finds Siddharth Mallya, the son of United Breweries' owner Vijay Mallya, the hottest male today.

Says a source close to Karan, "No one expected Sussanne to be so candid about Hrithik's reported link-ups. When Karan asked her about the female star Hrithik shared the best chemistry with, prompt came her reply Barbara Mori and Kareena Kapoor. Even Karan was shocked to see her being so frank about the women Hrithik was allegedly linked up with.”

While there were rumours of Kareena and him sharing a special friendship before his marriage (during the time of Yaadein filming), Hrithik and Barbara had been linked when they were shooting for his film, Kites.

Sharing his thoughts on love, Hrithik said, "Love is about bringing out the other person's individuality. What has gone wrong with the love today is that people have started to possess. If I love her (Sussanne), I should let her do what makes her smile and not impose my opinions."

With Karan, Hrithik and Sussanne spoke about their marriage, the camaraderie they share, how they make up and a lot more. Sussanne even talked about how both of them make up after fights. "Hrithik and I always make up in the funniest way. First we fight, and then a moment later we crack up on either something silly that one of us would have said. If not that, I start laughing at how Hrithik's expression is, when he is angry."

Karan gets all secrets out--Hrithik Roshan

Karan Johar's celebrity chat show, 'Koffee With Karan' on Star World has been making headlines either due to the bold confessions by the celebs or their controversial remarks about co-actors.

Recently, it was Hrithik Roshan and his gorgeous wife, Sussanne Roshan, who shared a sip of “Koffee” on the show with KJo.
Acknowledging the fun on the show, the 'Guzaarish' star told The Times Of India, “All other television show hosts do the usual best in entertaining, but Karan (or Pappu as I call him) gets all the secrets out! Now that's a talent.”
In turn, Karan said, “I should be offended that Koffee gets me more mention than my films.
"But honestly I'm not miffed. I just love the show; I'm happy that people do leak their most well-kept secrets out on my couch.”

KJo on a 'Koffee' date with Hrithik and Sussanne
Reportedly, the recent conversation with Hrithik and Sussanne turned out to be entertaining and stunning as Sussanne, quite frankly told about their personal life, her husband's link-ups and career.
Interestingly, during the conversation, Sussanne, who looked glamorous in a short outfit designed by Nandita Mahtani, called Siddharth Mallya as the hottest man alive.
And if this wasn't enough, when KJo asked her, what would she do if she wakes up as Gauri Khan, Sussanne, a big fan of SRK, said, “She would like to kiss SRK on his lips.”
Listening to Sussanne's bold and naughty comments, Karan was left speechless.
Sussanne talks about Hrithik's on-screen chemistry
When talked about Hrithik's best on-screen chemistry, Sussanne immediately replied, Barbara Mori and Kareena Kapoor.
Apparently, Hrithik, before his marriage with Sussanne, was linked up with Kareena Kapoor, and post-marriage, with Barbara Mori, during the shooting of 'Kites'.
But listening to Sussanne's immediate reply, Karan was shocked.

Sussanne talks about fights
Revealing about their fights, Sussanne said, “Hrithik and I always make up in the funniest way.
“First we fight, and then a moment later we crack up on either something silly that one of us would have said. If not that, I start laughing at how Hrithik's expression is, when he is angry.”
Adding more fun in the conversation, surprisingly, Sussanne candidly spoke about Hrithik's hotness on the show, and said that he looks hot, sans his clothes.

Now I have two of you! Suzanne tells Hrithik

His wife, Sussanne, gave the waxen Hrithik Roshan a kiss and said, “Now I have two of you.” His son quietly walked up to it and slipped his fingers through his, holding his hand as he would his dad’s, and by doing so gave it his stamp of approval. His mother, Pinky, was jumping with joy, and dadRakesh was cracking jokes, telling her that if she liked the new Hrithik so much, she should go on stage, he’d say, “Statue” and she’d freeze alongside!
As for Hrithik, coming face-to-face with his incredible mirror image was a surreal experience that freaked him out. “Looking at it, I couldn’t laugh for more than two seconds. I’d flinch and take a step backwards, it’s so lifelike and seems to be telling me, ‘Hey dude, you look just like me!” The actor unveiled his look-alike at London’s wax museum, Madame Tussauds, on Thursday, to join an elite Bollywood group that includes Amitabh and Aishwarya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. “It’s humbling. When they asked me where I wanted my figure placed, I told them to put it in a corner,” he laughs.

The foreign media was in no mood to put him in a corner. “I’ve been talking for nine hours,” he admitted from London. “I’m astounded by the interest in Indian cinema globally. It warms my heart,” he asserts. The statue has been moulded on the Dhoom 2 look but for Hrithik, it’s not about the movie. “Whenever my children or any other child is dispirited or tired, I’d want him or her to look at this figure and know that failures can be conquered, you just have to rise above them,” he says. “I don’t want them to ever give up.”
Back home, Hrithik is preparing for another stint on Karan Johar’s couch. “I’ve never been comfortable on it and have always tried to find some excuse to stay away,” he admits. “But I love Karan too much to say ‘no’. Besides, he’s the best TV host we have who can get his guests to reveal secrets they’ve kept bottled up all these years. Sussanne has ‘exposed’ me on the show,” he chuckles.
The couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last year but Hrithik says that 10 years ago, he only put his signature on a piece of paper and made the relationship official. “Sussanne has been a part of my life and soul for 16 years now, and I couldn’t have asked for a better companion. Like me she’s a Sufi at heart. For us, glam, glitz and awards don’t matter. It’s the moments… And of course our kids.”

He refuses to get started on Hrehaan and Hridaan saying that like any other parent, he can get mushy about his sons for hours together. “When I see them, I see unconditional love,” he says. “And an innocence that makes childhood precious.”

Bollywood is waxed!Shah Rukh Khan has his wax figure at two Madame Tussauds museums. His first statue was unveiled in London in 2007, where it was dressed in a black suit and white shirt. In August 2010, he unveiled the second statue in Los Angeles, where the figure had the Taj Mahal in the back drop. It had a black shirt instead of the white one. The actor unveiled his wax figure at a huge celebration comprising dance performances on Bollywood numbers.
Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s statue was unveiled in September 2004 at the London museum. She was then shooting for Gurinder Chaddha’s Bride and Prejudice, and so the statue’s look was based on her look in the film — a pink patiala salwar and kurti. Post-marriage, another statue of the actor was unveiled at the Times Square museum in New York in 2007. This statue has a bridal get up — it is dressed in a red and gold sari and dons a mangalsutra.
Actor Salman Khan got waxed by Tussauds in 2008. Dressed in a black vest, the statue has six-pack abs and bulging biceps, just like the actor. Salman donated a set of clothes and a bracelet for his wax model. The actor beat nine others, including Madhuri Dixit and Lata Mangeshkar, to win a place of pride at the  museum after a public poll was conducted.
Superstar Amitabh Bachchan was the first Bollywood celebrity to get waxed at Madame Tussauds, London in 2000. Bachchan was chosen, following a poll to find the most famous Bollywood actor who has done close to 170 films. His look was based on Karan Johar’s hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. His statue is clothed in a black bandgala achkan, accessorised with a shawl.

Making of Koffee with Karan Exclusive

Hrithik Roshan signed up as brand ambassador of J. Hampstead Suitings

He is the God of looks and talent! We are talking about the one and only Hrithik Roshan. After having made a splashing debut with Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, Hrithik is one of those few actors who have managed to etch his name in gold on the silver screen.

After having set the silver screens and the ad arenas afire in Guzaarish, Hrithik is back again and how! He has now been signed up as the brand ambassador of J. Hampstead Suitings. It's the same brand that earlier had Priyanka Chopra as its ambassador

Now with Hrithik coming on board, the brand will definitely have whole new style statement. What say, Duggu!

Hrithik takes potshots at Salman again

Bollywood stars and their constant digs at each other in some way or the other are certainly quite common these days. However when the digs are taken up to be something different than what they actually are supposed to mean then things do take a nasty turn.

Thus when sometime back hot hunk Salman Khan had called Hrithik Roshan a child it was taken quite with a pinch of salt by Hrithik and everyone thought that the episode was over and out. However, according to the buzz, Hrithik Roshan has gone on to state something like Salman Khan thinks that everyone is conspiring against him, which is not true since everyone in the industry loves him that too in the popular chat show Koffee with Karan everyone is speculating on that one.

Well, the episode with Hrithik and Suzanne Roshan is to be aired coming Sunday and the excitement is already at its best with this smart comment from Hrithik.

Now even if it was something which was said in absolute good humor there might be something in between the lines feel some speculators.

Now whether this brings in some good rapport between the two top notch stars or it brings some mudslinging is not yet known, but knowing the two stars this will simply be something like a joke that the two might share between themselves- now that’s what is called looking at the brighter side of things if there ever was any!

Shammi Kapoor Is All Praises For Hrithik

Hrithik Roshan went to London for the unveiling of his wax statue at Madame Tussauds. When he was about to board the flight, his family called him to say that the famous Shammi Kapoor wanted to have a few words with him.

A huge fan of Shammi Kapoor, Hrithik did not want to miss the opportunity to speak to him. So he humbly requested the cabin crew to allow him to receive one phone call. His request was granted and he spoke on the phone with Shammiji.

It so happened that Shammi Kapoor had just seen GUZAARISH and was full of praises for Hrithik. He wanted to call Hrithik to bless him and wish him all the best for his future endeavors. Hrithik was in a blissful mood after attending his phone call. He is a huge fan of the legendary Shammi Kapoor. As a child, Hrithik used to imitate his dance steps before a mirror.

When Shammiji was contacted, he confirmed speaking to Hrithik on the phone. According to him, Hrithik was a big talent in the industry and deserved to be encouraged.
For the airline, granting Hrithik his request was a rare exception.

When Hrithik Roshan was contacted, he said that he attended Shammiji’s phone call when he was on board. He further added that the legendary Shammi Kapoor had made his day as this was the first compliment from him.

SRK Made Hrithik Miss His Flight

It’s no big deal that SRK and Hrithik are good buddies in Bollywood but they are bonding big time which is the important part. Both of them are spending quality time with each other by partying hard.

At a recently concluded Awards event in Singapore, SRK called his buddy Hrithik and asked him to party with him. Incidentally Hrithik was on his way to airport to leave for India but that didn’t happen.

“Hrithik wanted to leave for India and his flight was booked. However SRK called him and told him that it was on January 14 that he made his debut in Bollywood. Since he had completed 11 years in Bollywood, it was time to party. SRK told him that he too was leaving the next day and asked him to come along with him in a chartered flight. So, SRK, Hrithik, along with Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal and Mehr, and Priyanka Chopra partied hard with Hrithik in his room, “explains our source.

While Hrithik’s debut KAHO NAA PYAR HAI went on to become biggest hit of the year, Shahrukh’s first home production PHIR BHI DIL HAI HINDUSTANI, which was released one week after KNPH, bombed at the box office.

Next day Hrithik left with SRK along with Suzanne and Karan for India.

'Blast' to get fit

The quest to get those perfectly sculpted muscles always sees some new addition or the other. The latest one that’s finding a lot of takers — right from A-listers like Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapur and even Colleen Rooney — is Gravity Blast. This is a 30-minute, highly intense workout which is based on resistance to increase strength and firm up muscles.

The Gravity Blast workout is often done on a specialised training kit called the Gravity Training System or GTS. Elaborating on these workouts, Daniel D’Souza, a fitness trainer, says, “This exercise regime is only for those who have been working out for a while, not for beginners. It is a weight-based resistance training system where one banks on their resistance power to build muscles. So instead of pulling weights you are resisting their force.” He adds, “Of course, this also has a lot to do with one’s will power too.” The equipment can also be adjusted to suit one’s needs. “One must begin on a low incline and less resistance and build this up gradually. Those who are seriously looking to work on their muscles even work on an incline of 60 per cent sometimes,” says Namrata Rao, a fitness coach.
One of the biggest advantages of this workout is that it helps to strengthen all the muscles in the body. “When you compare it to the regular weights that one does, these are more effective because they work out some ignored muscle groups too. Since it is for a span of 30 minutes, the attention to various muscles is also distributed equally to ensure that there is an all-round effect. One can do up to 175 different exercises using the GTS,” explains Namrata. The downside is something that’s common with various other exercises — boredom. “There is not much room for innovation here and that’s why I often get my clients to combine a Gravity Blast workout with some other form of physical activity like swimming or tennis,” adds Daniel.

Hrithik gets dance judge companion

Ganesh Hegde will now accompany Hrithik Roshan in judging a dance reality show Dance Olympics. Hrithik has been chosen as the special judge and if all goes well, Bollywood choreographer and performer Ganesh Hegde will join him as the second judge in the show. The channel and the production house are in talks with the choreographer.Ganesh was earlier approached to judge another dance show on Star Plus titled Zara Nachke Dikha, but sources say that he refused to accept the offer because of prior commitments. Dance Olympics will be launched this year on Star Plus and the hunt for the third judge is still on

Hrithik To Unveil Madame Tussauds Statue Next Week in London

Next week, Hrithik Roshan will be the fifth Bollywood celebrity to be honored in wax at the famous Madame Tussauds in London. The wait for his fans to see him face-to face with his wax statue will end on the 20th of January when he will unveil the wax staute at Madame Tussauds. "I don't really have the words to articulate what it feels like. Being bestowed this honor is overwhelming," said award winning actor Hrithik Roshan when it was announced that the world famous attraction will hold his new wax figure in London.

Hrithik Roshan was measured for his new wax figure in both Mumbai and London. He flew down to London with wife Sussane Roshan and stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania for additional measurements and to decide the look of his wax statue. He tweeted in September 2010 while visiting the Madame Tussauds London office that he is undecided on the look. The options he gave to his fans were "Suit" or "Dhoom". It is a four-month process to create a life like figure of the stars that are represented at the museum. The first step is to craft a perfect clay sculpture from which the moulds are made to make an amazingly life like wax figure. They take over 500 precise body measurements to create the sculpture. Then it is over to a team of skilled hair and colour artists to insert the hair by hand and build up life like skin tones using layer upon layer of oil paint; every freckle, mole, dimple and wrinkle are accurately reproduced. Hrithik's pose will be kept top secret until launch day but the top London attraction is promising one of its most daring ever figures.

Hrithik will follow in the footsteps of other Bollywood giants Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, all of whom feature in the attraction in London. He is the youngest male actor from India to get this honour who only started working in the Indian Film Industry just over a decade ago. His first film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai was released today on the 14th of January 2000.

Liz Edwards, PR Manager at Madame Tussauds London commented: "Our Bollywood area is one of the most colourful and popular in the entire attraction - particularly with our Asian visitors. We want to ensure we continue reflecting the very best of Bollywood so we're delighted Hrithik will be joining the line up in 2011. His string of awards, box office hits and huge fan base make him a modern day icon and he truly deserves his place in the attraction."

Hrithik, SRK top Zee Cine Awards

Zee Cine Awards, which was held last night, awarded Hrithik Roshan as the Best Actor (Male) beating the ever-so-popular Salman Khan for Dabangg.

Even though Dabangg bagged the maximum number of trophies, Salman Khan failed to bag an award for his Dabangg act.Interestingly, Salman even lost out the Best Actor (Popular Choice) to his archenemy Shah Rukh Khan, who won the award for My Name is Khan.

While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan won the Best Actor (Female) for Guzaarish, Vidya Balan won the Best Actress (Popular Choice) for her role in Ishqiya, reported SpiceZee.

After winning the Best Actor award, an elated Hrithik said, "This movie is very special to me because of its message. It is the suffering, weaknesses, and misery in our life that become the wind beneath our wings."

Thanking her mentor Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ash said, "This is a very special film for me. I've always had career milestones with Sanjay's movies - from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam to Devdas and now Guzaarish."
Meanwhile, Dabangg won 5 trophies- Best Film, Best Debut Female to Sonakshi Sinha, Best Debutant Director to Abhinav Kashyap, Best Song to Munni Badnaam Hui and Best Music to Sajid-Wajid, SpiceZee reported.

Hrithik's world

Hrithik Roshan is a great actor, and his Zee Cine Awards nomination (as we go to print) for his performance in ‘Guzaarish' proves it. But did you know he also makes fabulous Spanish omelettes?

Greek deity is a synonym often associated with this six-foot hunk. He has always had a larger-than-life aura but Hrithik Roshan the man is content living life in a luxurious yet understated way.

Home is where the heart is
El Palazzo in Juhu, Mumbai, is Roshan's address. His huge duplex in the high-rise qualifies as one of the most sought after and costly properties in the city.
The hunk's hideout is best described as warm and classic, yet contemporary. And the credit goes to wife Sussanne for making the house a home. Not only is she the decision-maker when it comes to the whats and hows of the house, she is also the interior designer. The home reflects a regal aura with its spacious settings, white and off-white walls and upholstery, and wide marble stairs. It's a home where everything whispers and nothing shouts including the family photographs (past and present) that adorn the walls. This has been Roshan's home for the past seven years.
The drawing room on the first floor encompasses full-length bay windows, which offer a breathtaking view of the city's skyline, palm groves and some vintage bungalows.
A recent addition to the house is the newly done-up kids' room for Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Sussanne, a qualified interior designer, was at the helm of this project but Roshan made sure he contributed too. "Both kids live in the same room and the bedroom has been designed accordingly. Sussanne and Hrithik firmly believe it's always good to keep the kids together because they bond better. I made sure Zayed and Sussanne had the same room when they were young," beams Zarine Khan, Roshan's interior-designer mother-in-law.
To make sure the home is child-friendly, the couple have made a few changes. The in-house gym has been relocated to the terrace and he has also filled his DVD rack with movies the kids like to watch. Sussanne has designed the gym keeping Roshan's health condition (his knee injury) in mind. But the other members of the family (Hrithik's parents, Pinkie and Rakesh) who live on the ninth floor of the same building, also share this gym.
The room that Roshan cherishes the most is his entertainment den. It was a surprise gift from his lovely wife. "Well, she knew I needed a place where I could be by myself — with my gadgets or just watching movies. So once, when I was on a long outdoor spell, she got one of the rooms converted into a sort of den for me. It was a super surprise!" he says. Although he has recently bought Paras, a villa in a nearby lane, he plans to move there only after his sons have grown up.

The health buff
There is no denying the fact that he has one of the best bodies in the industry. But it definitely doesn't come easy. The gym in his house is equipped with world-class gadgets. Revolutionary fitness fads always find a place in his workout haven. His favourite training partner, apart from his trainer Satyajit Chaurasia, is his petite-framed spouse. "Privacy is something that Hrithik is always looking for — even in his workouts," his trainer says. Roshan admits he is addicted to workouts, "I don't feel good if I don't work out. Right after the workout, there is a total sense of calm within me. The stress flows out." He also gives us a sneak peek into his workout regime. "I start my exercise with jogging and then do my regular workout. I concentrate on each part of my body and do special workouts designed for each. I also own two separate sets of exercise equipment — one, which is kept at home, and the other, which I take along when I travel. They are imported pressure pull machines, which help me work out during my free time — even on a flight. With the help of a vacuum press, I fix this equipment on to a flat surface and pull the handle to exercise the biceps. I follow the same process for my legs. This special mechanism is an essential part of my entourage, along with dumb-bells."

The food freak
Roshan says he never refrains from eating something he really wants to. But he quickly adds that he always balances it by either sweating it out or making sure his next meal is lighter. He sheds some light on his eating habits. "My dietary restrictions are few because I work out. Yet I avoid oily and fried food. I like Chinese and Indian food but I don't like milk so I don't have any milk products except chocolate. Every day, I have a special chocolate shake rich in protein, recommended by my instructor. I also have a heavy breakfast because it's the most important meal of the day. My afternoon meal is mostly on the sets and an evening snack is optional.
"Since I work late into the night, I either have dinner on the sets or go out with friends to restaurants. I have a sweet tooth and love anything that has sugar but I don't overindulge."
Does his wife charm him with her culinary skills? "Sussanne makes the best spaghetti bolognaise. She cooked me a lovely Italian meal on my birthday, which coincided with my honeymoon in Australia. Except for her cheesecake, which is the best dessert in the world, I avoid sweets. And there is nothing that beats the bread pudding my mum makes." He also doesn't shy away from showing off his skills. "I make the best eggs in the world — fabulous Spanish omelettes and very good scrambled eggs. When I was in school I used to get ready early and then go into the kitchen and make eggs."
He adds: "According to me, one's body is 90 per cent his/her diet. Hence, one should eat only the right food. I eat very little oil, butter, ghee and fatty stuff. I balance out my meals — protein, carbohydrates and fats. I drink lots of water."

An ideal day
When he gets a day off, which is rare, he likes to just chill out at home. Watching movies and spending time with his wife and kids make a perfect picture for him. "Sussanne and Hrithik are devoted parents. No matter how busy they are, they always make time for their kids. Even with his busy schedule, he tries his best to attend school functions and other activities his kids are a part of," divulges mum-in-law Zarine. Whenever he takes the family out for a holiday, he keeps in mind not to repeat a destination they've already been to, "I don't like to repeat memories because that can't happen," says Roshan. "I would rather explore the places I've never been to."

Hrithik says Katrina is beautiful and super-talented (Video)

Zarina Wahab to play the role of Hrithik’s mother in "AGNEEPATH".

Karan Johar is all set to start his much-awaited remake of Agneepath early next month. After finalising Hrithik for the unforgettable role of Vijay Dinanath Chouhan, played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original, and Priyanka Chopra in the role of Kali, he has now signed on Zarina Wahab to play the all important role of Hrithik’s mother, originally played by Rohini Hattangadi.

Our source said, “At one point of time, Karan was even considering signing Rohini again for the role.
However, he decided against it as it would have looked odd. So, after considering several other actresses, Karan decided Zarina would fit the bill. Incidentally, the actress had also acted as SRK’s mother in My Name Is Khan which worked in her favour as her performance was appreciated by the audience and the critics. Karan was keen to have someone with an intense presence as that is one of the most pivotal characters in the film. Considering that the characters of Mithun and Neelam are no longer part of the script, Karan wanted to make sure that the other characters were well sketched and merged into the script.”

Hrithik is going to unveil his wax figure this Friday

Hrithik Roshan, who turned 37 today, will become the fifth Bollywood celebrity to have his wax figure at the prestigious Madame Tussauds when he unveils it on Friday (January 14).

Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan have already got their statues in the London museum.

"It's just going to be symbolic of my journey. It's going to be something that will motivate me when I'm tired. I'll think of this statue and it will make be keep going and giving my best. It makes me feel great and will help me fight my exhaustion," he added.

Hrithik's 'Paani' gets abondoned ?

Shekhar Kapur’s most ambitious venture refuses to take off. According to rumour mills, the high profile film that Hrithik Roshan had agreed to be a part of, has been called off. Earlier, there had been rumours that the film was facing problems but this time it seems, the news is final.

Our source said, “Manmohan Shetty who had agreed to back the film has now backed out from the project leaving Kapur high and dry. Shetty wants to focus on the new amusement park he wants to construct in Mumbai.”

Since the last three years Paani has been going through a roller coaster ride. And now when things were falling in place, it has run into trouble waters once again.”

When contacted Manmohan Shetty, however, denied the news. He said, “It is not true. Whenever Paani will be made, I will be with Shekhar.”

So what are the reasons for the delays then, we wonder. Can it be Hrithik’s busy schedule or is the reason something that Kapur would care to shed light on?

I'm very happy we're making a sequel to 'Krrish': Hrithik

Mumbai, Jan 10 (IANS) Bollywood heart-throb Hrithik Roshan for the first time celebrated his birthday Monday with media by cutting a cake, talking about his future projects and revealing his happiness over his filmmaker father's decision to make a sequel to 'Krrish'.
'I'm very happy that papa (Rakesh Roshan) has finally taken the mantle and said that he will make 'Krrish' because it was my dream to make another 'Krrish'...I was wishing that one day he gets up and thinks about the film and I'm happy that has happened now,' said the actor, who has turned 37.

The actor also revealed that actress Priyanka Chopra will be the female lead in the film and it is slated to hit screens later this year.

Released in 2006, 'Krrish' is a Indian superhero science fiction that carried forward the story of 'Koi... Mil Gaya' about developmentally challenged Rohit (Hrithik) and his ability to connect with aliens through his late father's special computer.

In 'Krrish', Hrithik plays Krishna, son of Rohit, who has superhuman abilities. Both the films were directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan.

The actor, whose much hyped 'Kites' bit the dust at the box office, will be seen in two more films - 'Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara' and 'Agneepath' remake - this year.

'I'm very excited about all the three films because all are challenging roles. One is over and I'll be starting 'Agneepath' now and then of course 'Krrish',' said the actor who was casually dressed in a white T-shirt and blue jeans and teamed it up with a black cap for the media meet.

Taking about his birthday, the actor said that age is just a state of mind.

'Number and years are all man made terms in our minds. We should not go by them. You're as young as you're heart tells you. I still feel as I felt when I was 18. Although my knees heart a bit more than they used to,' said Hrithik.

The actor started his day with a pooja at home, then spent time with his family, followed by a telephonic session with fans, meeting with media and it will end with a party at his place.

Kangna giving Krrish 2 the miss

Ranaut says no to the superhero sequel top lining Hrithik Roshan

Kangna Ranaut was offered a significant role in the Krrish sequel but she turned down the role. Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan play lead parts in the film.

Kangs and the Roshans became friends after Kites, she was the natural choice for the second lead role. The part is along the lines of Cat woman but she turned it down.

Her reservations
According to a source, both papa and beta Roshan tried to convince Kangs to take up the role. "But she explained to them about her reservations.

Hrithik even told her that the role had scope for action  and that it had been scripted with her in mind but she maintained that she didn't want to play second fiddle to another actress."

Says a close friend of the actress, "She is keen on doing strong female lead roles. Not ones that offer just glamour and songs.

She is the leading lady in Tanu Weds Manu with Madhavan, Rascals with Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal, Game with Abhishek Bachchan and Dhamaal 2, and feels she shouldn't be doing cameos at this point."

The friend explains KR's new stance post-Fashion. "Priyanka went on to do better films but Kangna kept getting asked to play second fiddle.

So obviously, she is wary of similar roles." Rakesh Roshan, however, maintains, "Kangna wasn't offered a role. Only Priyanka (Chopra) is final."

Hrithik seeks sister-in-law's forgiveness on birthday

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan believes in simple joys. So, for his 37th birthday Monday, all that the actor wanted was forgiveness from his sister-in-law Farah Khan Ali, who was upset with him over an issue.
"Hello tweeple. I have upset d one person responsible 4 introducing me 2 dis twitterworld my beautiful FarahKhanAli who I Love very much. u think u guys cld help her forgive me, since I'm human n since its my b'day tom? Love u all soo much! (sic)” Hrithik posted on his Twitter page Sunday.
Farah is the eldest sister of Hrithik's wife Sussanne.

Hrithik's public apology on the micro-blogging site melted Farah's heart, after which she posted: “OMG. Duggu did u have to do this on twitter. U know I love u unconditionally and the people u love the most sometimes hurt u too. Love u and Suss and will see u tom. Happy Birthday my brother. May u both live a long and happy life. (sic)”

"Happy happy birthday Rockstar, fly high always, love you,” posted Arjun.

Priyanka replaces Hrithik

Yes, you read that right. Priyanka Chopra's role of the spouse murderer seven times over in Vishal Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf was originally to be played by, believe  it or not, Hrithik Roshan. However, when things didn't work out between Roshan and Bhardwaj, who had rewritten Ruskin Bond's original story, Susanna's Seven Husbands, specifically to accommodate a male character as lead, went back to the original story and decided to cast his favourite actress, Chopra, as lead.

Chopra, who will share screen space with Roshan in Karan Johar's remake of Agneepath, must be happy that "things didn't work out between Vishal and Hrithik".

Says the source, "The two just didn't agree on the plot and characters. They parted ways with a 'maybe another time'. Bhardwaj then quickly turned the screenplay back to its original format the way Ruskin Bond had written it and signed Priyanka. He prefers to work with female protagonists since the male stars have repeatedly given him grief. Sadly, the box office doesn't welcome women-oriented sagas."

That might change this month if Rajkumar Gupta's No One Killed Jessica (where Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan are the 'heroes') and Saat Khoon Maaf (where Chopra weds, beds and kills seven husbands) are the hits they are expected to be.

Hrithik and Ranbir Walk The Ramp for Shabana Azmi

Bollywood actress and activist Shabana Azmi has taken up a new cause. And this time, she is not alone in the noble act. A plethora of stars from the tinsel town have joined her. The list is pretty long, of about 20 stars, including Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Shilpa Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Prateik Babbar, Ranveer Singh, Tusshar Kapoor, Celina Jaitley, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza, Shazahn Padamsee, Raima Sen, Amrita Rao, Rohit Roy, Sandhya Mridul, Monikangana Dutta and Aditya Roy Kapur, who would be walking the ramp for an NGO that supports girl education.

The stars would be campaigning for the education of girls at the Mijwan village in the Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Mijwan is the birthplace of her father and one of the greatest Urdu poets, the late Kaifi Azmi.

The stars would be seen walking the ramp on January 23, and would wear attires styled by Manish Malhotra. The cause will also support women empowerment.

Shabana said that the stars did not throw any starry tantrums when she approached them. She said, "Just Rs 6,000 can pay for a child's annual education in Mijwain.

All the stars I approached have come on board, no questions asked. They are role models and when they throw their weight behind a cause it leads to immense awareness on the issue. This is going to be the most phenomenal fashion show ever."

Hrithik Roshan Doesn't Care For Hit Or Flop

Guzaarish was flop at box office but Hrithik Roshan was appreciated for his acting in the film. Today Hrithik's career has reached to a stage where is doesn't bother was for hit or flop. He says, "I will say this in different way. In life you should travel to new and new things & you learnt a lot. Where no one has gone, i have gone there. Today i stand at a stage where i want to work work as per my wish & how best i can do. If you look at my career graph its like roller coaster. I jump from one end to another end. After Guzaarish now i will do a different commercial film."

I am doing Agnipath with Karan Johar is one step towards that. I am doing Krish 3. Why he says Krish 3 instead of Krish 2? He says Krish 1 was second part of Koi mil gaya 2 so we call as Krish 3. They way Rambo was First Blood and than it was Rambo 3. He is playing role of Amitabh Bachchan of original Agnipath. When asked do you think that its a challenge to act in Agnipath 2? He says, "you can call it as my bad luck or good luck that the script of the film impressed me a lot. My heart reacted to the script so i was left with no option but to accept the film. I am very clear that my intention is not to challenge Big B. The script is rewritten to suit a young character. Krish 3 is going to start in July or August 2011 & is accepted to be completed in one year & we are planning to release this in 2012."

Guzaarish was his third film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The moment we said Aishwarya he says, "We had good chemistry. As a co-actor we are good friends. Both of us are professional & our approach towards film is same. We understand each other better. If i have any problem she understands and even i understand her. We acted together in three films with different banner it was our luck."

Talking of Guzaarish, Hrithik says it was not a commercial film. There film was produced for a particular class of audience. You require courage to produce this type of film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is very coverages person. To show six pack or item song is easy but he never did like that. He was clear in his vision. We should not care for box office all the time.
